The Celtics Might Never Lose Again
Wow! Just wow…
This team is fun to watch!
If you haven’t jumped on the Celtics bandwagon just yet, I’d suggest you do so right now. These kids have been playing their hearts out every night and it shows.
Just this past Friday, the Celtics were down by 18 points while on the road against the very good Oklahoma Thunder and somehow managed to overcome the deficit and win the game!
They then flew to Orlando and guess what?
They won again!
Everyone thought the C’s were done when my friend Gordon gruesomely went down after the first five minutes of the first game of the season. And those fears only seemed to be confirmed as the Celtics continued to lose their first two games.
Miraculously, since then they’ve managed to win nine games in a row and are shaping up to be the best team in the NBA.
Obviously it sucks losing Gordon for what could be the remainder of the season but there is a silver lining to all of this! And that silver lining is Jason Tatum. “The Rook” looks like he is going to be best player of the draft.
Suck it, Philly!
The minutes Tatum will be getting in during Gordon’s absence, spent hitting clutch three-pointers like in last night’s game against the Hawks, will play crucial in aiding his career development.
Them Apples found an exclusive look at Jason after the game:
Besides Tatum, Al “Hammercock” Horford is also having himself a SEASON. Al is sizing up to be the max player we signed two summers ago.
There are two main components to thank for Al’s growing success and that would be Aaron Baynes and Kyrie. Baynes is a big man who plays like a big man. As Tommy Heinsohn says, “He looks like all of Australia!” Baynes is physical and I don’t think Al ever felt comfortable playing the physical role.
Chris Mannix from CSN compared Al’s hot start to KG’s 2007 season. Let’s just say if this pans out to be true then we are in for a real treat this season!
Last year, Al only had eight double-doubles and so far he’s already had four this year! On top of that, last night he almost had a triple double.
We are only 11 games into the season, folks.
Oh, and we have Kyrie Irving. Kyrie dropped 35 points in 37 minutes last night. He is the team’s leading scorer and is averaging 22 points a game. He also made Dennis Schroder look foolish all of last night.
It is going to be a fun season. So sit down, buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
