Week 2 Waiver Wire Targets
Well, week one sucked.
I feel for all the David Johnson owners; I’m one of them. I’d say the same goes for Allen Robinson owners but why the hell would you draft a Jaguars receiver? That one is on you.
I’d also like to take a moment to pat myself on the back for the Cooper Kupp call, he looks like a legit WR3 in PPR. Hopefully you drafted him late like Thrilly suggested, otherwise he’s listed later on in this article.
Anyway, here’s a position by position break-down of who I’d target on the waiver wire this week.
Alex Smith – KC
Carson Wentz – PHI
Tyrod Taylor – BUF
Deep League and 2 QB League Sleepers: DeShone Kizer – CLE and Jared Goff – LAR
Kizer kept the Browns competitive and well in the game against the Steelers this week, he’s worth a stash in deep leagues. Same can be said about Goff after the Rams dismantled the Colts in L.A. this week.
Tarik Cohen – CHI
Buck Allen – BAL
Deep League Sleeper – Chris Carson – SEA
Cohen is worth stashing, especially in PPR leagues, as he could possibly lead the Bears in catches and targets this season. He seems to have carved out a big role in the offense going forward. With the injury to Danny Woodhead, Buck Allen is worth an add after he surprisingly had 21 carries against the Bengals. Chris Carson got the most snaps of all the Seahawks backs this past week and looked a hell of a lot better than Fat Eddie Lacy.
Kenny Golladay – DET
Cooper Kupp – LAR
Nelson Agholor – PHI
Deep League Sleeper – Kendall Wright – CHI
The pre-season hype train’s roll on with Kenny Golladay and Cooper Kupp showing up big time in Week 1. If you listened to Thrilly you should have at least one of these guys already, but if not, there’s a good chance they’re still available in your league. Buy now.
Austin Hooper – ATL
Jason Witten – DAL
Deep League Sleeper – The Road Dog Jesse James – PIT
Hooper only had two catches, but it was enough to make him the second highest scoring TE in week 1. He’s worth stashing on your bench. Same can be said about the Road Dog Jesse James. OH YOU DIDN’T KNOW?! YOUR ASS BETTER CALLLLL SOMEBODY!!!!!!!
That’s all for this week. Check back next Tuesday for the Week 3 Waiver Wire update.
