Castle Island Keeper
Disclaimer right off the bat… if you are looking for a “professional review” of this or any beer you have come to the wrong place. I will not use words like “aroma” or “palette”… not at all. I will tell you all of things I care about when drinking a beer: alcohol by volume, what does it taste like, is the can cool/bottle cool looking, where is it brewed out of, and at the end I’ll give it a rating of 1-5 apples (see what I did there.) If you are looking for more than that… move on because you’re probably not fun to be around.
Facts: Keeper is a New Age IPA. 6.5% ABV. Norwood MA.
Taste: I’m a guy who likes some hops in his beer to put some hair on your chest like a glass of bourbon. This isn’t that beer. Keeper is super drinkable but still reminds you that your drinking an IPA with its full flavor.
Can: The can is a nice little addition if you’re familiar with Castle Island in Southie. The cannon pays homage to the fort equipped with cannons which can be found there.
Score: 3.84 🍎
